Great to meet you!

Hey I'm Jamie! I graduated in 2010 from the University of Georgia School of Social Work, and worked in hospice care, a nursing home, and with children and families in community mental health before private practice. I want to help anyone who is struggling, even if they are not an "ideal client". I believe every human has strengths and is a multifaceted being. I have a special place in my heart for neurodivergent individuals as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. <3

My approach to therapy

I strive to work alongside my clients as a sort of copilot - they decide in which direction the sessions go and what issues we address, and I follow at the ready to validate and provide interventions tailored to their specific goals. My top priority is to make sure you feel heard and understood.

What you can expect from me

When you're in session with me you can expect to catch up on the "news" in your life, discuss how you challenged yourself to grow since last session (homework follow up, but I don't call it homework!), have as much space as you need to process your thoughts and feelings, learn about your psychology and relationships, and discuss how you're progressing toward your personal goals. Most sessions have a lot of laughter, and my clients tell me they feel seen.
