Great to meet you!

I earned my B.S. in Psychology at St. John Fisher College in 2004. I went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from University of Rochester in 2010. I have served the needs of the Rochester community as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and later as Clinical Coordinator at the Evelyn Brandon Clinic and PROS program, part of Rochester Regional Health System, specializing in DBT. I also served as part of the DBT team at GVIP in Rochester for over 1.5 years most recently.

My approach to therapy

I believe in building a healthy therapeutic relationship in order to understand the needs and strengths of my clients. I strive to show compassion and empathy to individuals while challenging areas in which they identify they would like grow and change. I focus on using DBT skills in order to help patients change problematic behaviors. I have treated patients from a plethora of backgrounds. I honor each individual’s story, working to create a safe environment in which to explore their needs.

What you can expect from me

I work to create a safe space for clients to explore the needs that are bringing them to treatment. I work to build an healthy relationship with clients in order to build trust and allow clients to be vulnerable when they are ready. Therapy moves at the pace my client is comfortable at along side gentle guidance from me. We will work together to outline goals that are important to you and identify steps to help you achieve them.
