Great to meet you!

I’m Jan Leger, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in mental health, education, and clinical leadership. I provide virtual therapy in Texas for children, adolescents, and adults navigating emotional distress, trauma exposure, and significant life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, emphasizing safety, collaboration, and empowerment. I work alongside clients to identify existing strengths, increase insight into patterns shaped by past and present experiences, and develop coping strategies that support emotional regulation and resilience. I view symptoms not as deficits, but as understandable responses to stress, adversity, and life circumstances.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what's been going on in your life, and what you'd like help with—but you don't have to tell me everything all at once. I'll ask questions, answer yours, and we'll begin figuring out what might be most helpful for you. Most importantly, we'll make sure you feel comfortable and that we're a good fit.
