Great to meet you!

Having been a therapist for almost 20 years, I have developed my gift of listening intently and connecting the dots between past and present. I believe with all my heart that people can heal and it's an honor when clients allow me to be a part of that process. With 30 yrs of marriage, adult children, grandchildren, and my own traumatic experiences, I understand...life is hard. But it's also beautiful. I help people ages 10 and up discover that beauty and heal from their traumas.

My approach to therapy

Choosing a counselor can be a daunting task. The idea of picking a complete stranger with whom to be vulnerable and start a complex journey of healing is exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. I get it.

That's why we make sure we'll be a good fit before we dive deep. Then, I will help you feel as comfortable as possible so that you can focus on getting to the root cause of your pain, the viable solutions, and uncover everything in between.

What you can expect from me

Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I'll teach you how to make committed action towards your values, despite the negative thoughts and feelings. With a trauma-focused lens, we'll examine how past experiences have shaped current beliefs which lead to feelings and behaviors.

Using EMDR, art, and writing exercises, we'll go beyond talk therapy to resolve old narratives that keep you stuck and transition you to a new season of life in which you can be free from the burdens of past traumas.
