Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated social worker with over eight years of experience in corrections, two years in community mental health and two years providing teletherapy in private practice. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Southern Illinois University and have built a career grounded in supporting individuals through re-entry, mental health, and substance use recovery.

I am passionate about working with teenagers and young adults, and I bring creativity and compassion into my sessions — often weaving my love of reading and art to foster connection and growth. I obtained my LCSW in 2023 and CADC in 2025. I love to learn and continue to expand my skills while creating safe, supportive spaces for clients to heal and thrive.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with a warm, supportive presence, meeting each client where they are while fostering a safe and nonjudgmental space. My style is flexible and collaborative — I weave together different therapeutic modalities based on each individual’s unique needs and goals. I often integrate mindfulness practices such as journaling, art therapy, and even music, creating sessions that encourage self-expression, reflection, and personal growth. My goal is to help clients build resilience, explore their inner world, and find practical tools that support healing and well-being in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a comfortable, welcoming space where the focus is on getting to know each other. I’ll take time to learn about your story, what brings you to therapy, and what goals you’d like to work toward. We’ll talk through your needs, preferences, and any questions you may have so that you feel supported from the start. My aim in this first meeting is to create a safe foundation for our work together, where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move at your own pace.
