Great to meet you!

As a therapist who is licensed to work with relationships, I believe prioritizing the well-being of your interactions with significant others (Including yourself) is the key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! Regarding my background, I received my doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Univ. of Florida and my master's from Wake Forest University.

My approach to therapy

In my counseling practice, I focus on assisting individuals who are transitioning out of previously intimate relationships and support them as they seek to redefine and rediscover themselves as individuals. This process often involves re-examining one’s self-esteem, self-worth, values, and emotional security, all of which may have been threatened or damaged in former relationships. It is my firmly held clinical and personal belief that, following the ending of a relationship, we all have the choice as to whether we become bitter, or even better, as a result of our life experiences.

If you are seeking relationship counseling, I will focus on how you are interacting with one another and encourage healthier forms of interaction. It is not my intent to try to change each individual within the relationship but the manner in which you relate to each other.

What you can expect from me

By making changes that YOU decide are healthy, you can become the person whom you love and respect, as well as attain the life you want. In our therapy sessions, we will continually emphasize the fact that you are not a product of your circumstances, but rather the result of the decisions you have and will make.

As we work together, we will also identify, explore, and expand your strengths. Doing so will help you to be the healthy, resilient, and strong person you want to be, and to attain the life of which you dream. Although therapy may be difficult and at times painful, it is a necessary passage to grow as well as being an investment in yourself.
