Great to meet you!
Hi, my name is Janet. I am a Momma and a Nana. I have had my share of grief and life traumas and can understand exactly how scary and intimating therapy can feel. I do believe people can change to have and be what they want. With that being said, know that that will take some hard work. Therapy can seem hard at first. You are sharing very personal experiences that have and are shaping you. I love to help people see their lives from a different perspective and identify strengths that he/she may posses and may not be able to access or utilize when under the pressure of “life.” Your story matters and your feelings are valid. Centering treatment around you is a must. Your healing journey is possible and it can start here. I have been in the helping profession since 1998 . I have experience with individual, family and group therapy. I have worked in outpatient behavioral health settings, outpatient substance abuse, case management, foster care and medical social work. I obtained a bachelors in psychology in 1998 and a Masters in Social Work in 2012. I have trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), crisis intervention and panic/ anxiety management.
