Great to meet you!

I know how hard it is to reach out and ask for help. But would it surprise you to know that one in four adults suffer from mental health issues at some point in their lives? You’re not alone.

So how do you select an online therapist from a photo and brief biography? While there are no magic formulas, does what you read about the therapist strike some chord in you?

With over 30 years experience, I typically work with females in the age ranges between late 20s and 60s. I’m experienced primarily in treating anxiety and depression. The women I work with commonly suffer from trauma, perfectionism, people pleasing, overthinking, and not feeling good enough.

I have a Master’s degree in Social Work and I’m licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina at the highest level of licensure for my profession.

My approach to therapy

My approach is very conversational. I’ll really listen to you so I can help guide you to your own healing. The most important thing to know about me is that while I’ll take your issues seriously, don’t be surprised if we have some chuckles and fun along the way. Life is hard but there’s no reason why we can’t laugh together at life’s absurdities!

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be an introductory session where you have the opportunity to share your story, including what prompted you to ask for help. Together we’ll establish some goals for therapy and what changes you hope to make in your life. You may approach our first session with some anxiety, but don’t fret. Many clients tell me I’m easy to talk to and they enjoy our sessions.
