My name is Janine Gonzalez, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico: with over 17 years' of experience working with a diverse population. This includes working with individuals experiencing complex issues. I started my career within acute medical settings, ER, ICU and Trauma unit, before becoming Licensed. Therefore, I also bring 28 years of experience working with people medically complex which have impacted their mental health and vis versa.

My approach to therapy

I believe that you are the expert of your story and within you are the answers. It takes courage to seek out assistance and determination to see it through. Taking the first steps toward change, may not be easy, however as we work together you will discover you were worth it. I am here to support and empower you in your journey

Acknowledgment: Starting therapy is not easy, taking the first step is powerful and I acknowledge this. In our first session I will get to know about you and I encourage you to ask questions to get to know me. This is important in establishing a therapeutic relationship.
