Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Jaret, and I am a licensed professional counselor with more than 10 years of experience helping people navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, and other challenging life experiences. I view counseling as a collaborative process in which you can better understand yourself, develop practical coping skills, heal from painful experiences, and begin living in greater alignment with who you authentically are. I strive to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space while also offering honest feedback, practical guidance, and therapeutic tools tailored to your individual needs. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire, a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician, and an EMDR-Certified Therapist through the EMDR International Association.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is active, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change comes from understanding both the deeper roots of a person’s struggles and the patterns that continue to affect their life today. I integrate trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, parts work, DBT, mindfulness, and somatic strategies to help clients process painful experiences, regulate overwhelming emotions, strengthen relationships, and respond to life with greater clarity and choice. I aim to create a space that is compassionate and validating while also being honest, practical, and willing to challenge patterns that may be keeping someone stuck.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, collaborative conversation focused on helping me understand what has brought you to therapy, what you are currently struggling with, and what you hope will change. We will begin exploring important experiences, patterns, relationships, symptoms, strengths, and coping strategies without any pressure to share more than feels manageable. I will also explain how I work, answer your questions, and begin identifying which therapeutic approaches may be most helpful for your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and clearer about the direction of therapy, while understanding that trust, safety, and meaningful change are built together over time.
