Great to meet you!

Making the decision to start therapy is a profound investment of your time, energy, and vulnerability. If you are looking for a blank-slate clinician who simply nods and listens, we might not be the best fit. I offer a highly engaged, malleable, and unflinching partnership.

My approach is rooted in the belief that while the work of untangling our lives is deeply structural, the room itself doesn't always have to feel heavy. I bring a grounded warmth to my practice—which means knowing how to sit quietly in the gravity of a difficult truth, but also knowing when to break the tension, exhale, and find the light in the sheer complexity of being human. I won’t just sit in silence while you do all the heavy lifting; I am an active collaborator who adapts to exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and deeply relational, blending Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Existential principles. Because no two people process the world the same way, I don't use rigid formulas. Instead, my style is highly adaptable to what you actually need in the room on any given day.

Therapy with me is an active, dynamic dialogue. We will look closely at the underlying mechanics of your anxiety, relationship patterns, or feelings of burnout. Together, we evaluate which coping mechanisms are still protecting you, and which ones have simply outlived their usefulness.

By combining historical insight (understanding how your past shaped you) with present-moment awareness (how you feel right now), we work to move you out of survival mode. The ultimate goal is to help you connect the dots in real-time, cultivate personal agency, and build a life that feels authentic and manageable.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about easing the pressure. Starting therapy can feel daunting, so my immediate goal is to make the space feel comfortable, grounded, and conversational.

Think of our initial meeting as a mutual interview. I will ask questions to understand the immediate challenges that brought you in, get a sense of your history, and learn how you naturally navigate the world. Just as importantly, this is your opportunity to get a feel for my personality and see if my active, dialogue-driven style works for you.

You won’t be expected to have all the answers or perfectly articulate your entire life story in the first 50 minutes. We are simply establishing a baseline. By the end of the hour, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, a little less overwhelmed, and with a clear sense of how we might begin to tackle things together.

I do not conduct Couples Therapy through Insurance.
