Great to meet you!

I believe people are capable of growth, healing, and meaningful change when they feel supported, understood, and challenged in healthy ways. I work with individuals and couples to help clients improve relationships, manage stress, process grief, and move toward healthier patterns of living.

My background includes clinical counseling, hospice bereavement care, relationship education, and men’s personal development work. I also enjoy leading marriage seminars and men’s retreats that encourage emotional health, connection, and resilience.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time on the water and being with the people I love most — especially my five children and their families.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is grounded in authenticity, connection, and practical change. I believe people grow best when they feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. My work combines Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify strengths, challenge unhealthy patterns, improve relationships, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges.

I work collaboratively with individuals and couples to create realistic goals and meaningful progress while encouraging emotional awareness, personal responsibility, resilience, and long-term growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to be welcoming, conversational, and focused on building trust and understanding. I take time to learn about each client’s background, current challenges, relationships, strengths, and goals for counseling. The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions, share concerns, and begin identifying practical steps toward change and growth.

My approach is compassionate, honest, and collaborative. I work to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment while helping clients feel comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout the counseling process.
