I'm Jartu, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is interested in providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adults. Growing up in a place where mental health was stigmatized, rarely discussed, and often left untreated, it made me understand the need to de-stigmatize, educate and treat mental health. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent more than a decade working as a registered nurse in Maryland.
I am committed to providing individualized care to each client, using evidence-based practices to achieve optimal outcomes. Pulling from clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition, I tailor my treatment approach to fit the individual's specific needs, knowing that no two people are the same. I am a devoted and attentive listener who strives to really get to know each client I have the privilege of treating.
I am very passionate when it comes to my clients, approaching each one with empathy and respect. After our initial assessment, we will begin to create a plan that aligns with their needs. I strive to build a trusting and supportive relationship with each client, empowering and supporting them as they work towards their goals.
