Great to meet you!

I've spent 11 years working with people who are dealing with real, complicated things — bipolar disorder, complex trauma, anger that's gotten in the way of relationships, and identity questions that don't have easy answers. I'm also a certified hypnotherapist and anger management specialist, which means I bring tools to the table that most therapists don't. As a Black cisgender woman, I understand what it means to carry both your personal history and the weight of the world — and I know how rarely those two things get addressed together in a clinical setting. I work with adults, adolescents, and families, and I offer Telehealth across Maryland as well as evening in-person sessions in the Waldorf area for those who need it outside of traditional hours.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is direct and collaborative — I'm not going to sit quietly and nod for 50 minutes. I use a blend of IFS (parts work), trauma-focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and hypnotherapy, and I tailor the mix based on what you're actually dealing with. I'm culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+ affirming, and I'm comfortable sitting with the complicated stuff — dual diagnoses, family conflict, the kind of anger or grief that doesn't look "clinical" from the outside but is very real on the inside. I think the best therapy happens when it's honest, flexible, and built around who you actually are — not a generic protocol.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a space to begin telling your story. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of the process.

There is no pressure to have everything figured out. This session is about understanding your needs, answering your questions, and beginning to build a comfortable and supportive working relationship.
