Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and empathetic therapist who believes that every person has unique strengths, even during life's most difficult seasons. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I work alongside you to help you gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and move toward the life you want to live.

As the owner of Cape Fear Counseling in Fayetteville, North Carolina, I am committed to providing quality, evidence-based care that is tailored to each individual's needs. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an adjunct professor, where I enjoy helping educate and mentor the next generation of mental health professionals. My teaching experience allows me to stay current with research and best practices while bringing that knowledge into the therapy room in a practical, relatable way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. Rather than offering quick fixes, I work alongside you to better understand your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop meaningful strategies for lasting change. I tailor treatment to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.

I am the owner of Cape Fear Counseling in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and also serve as an adjunct professor, where I enjoy mentoring future mental health professionals. These roles allow me to combine clinical experience with current research and best practices to provide high-quality, individualized care.

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, work-related stress, men's mental health, parenting concerns, and personal growth.

Clients often describe me as approachable, empathetic, and easy to talk to. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or looking to better understand yourself, I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes that align with your goals and values.

What you can expect from me

Clients often describe my style as genuine, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating—it can be a space where you feel supported, challenged when appropriate, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

No matter where you are in your journey, my hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
