Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jason. My ideal client is one that has simply recognized that they are dealing with an issue in life, big or small, and think that it would be helpful to have a third party that is not directly involved in those issues, but might be able to offer different a different perspective. The ideal client is also one that is ready to work. Focusing on coping skills to more healthily deal with life stressors and increasing self-awareness to understand what they bring to every interaction and decision.

I have been a licensed therapist for about 5 years now and it is definitely something that I am passionate about. I have worked with a wide range of clients with regards to age and issue. My "specialties" are substance use in all ages and adolescents.

Life is hard, even the "things that everyone has to deal with." We are allowed to ask for help when things are too hard, but we are also allowed to just need a place to talk things out and process the various stressors life can throw at us. Please reach out and let me know how I can help.

My approach to therapy

Generally speaking, I have an eclectic approach to therapy. The approaches I incorporate are person-centered as far as how I engage with a client, narrative as far as how I understand a client and their issue(s), and cognitive behavioral (CBT) as far as the skills that I try to help clients build.

What you can expect from me

Expect to be heard first and foremost. But with me, therapy just starts there, also prepare to explore other perspectives and be challenged about what your perspective is, and why it is what it is.
