Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor who specializes in working with first responders and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and high-stress. My background includes embedded work with law enforcement, EMS, fire personnel, Dispatch, and Detention. I also work with individuals who are used to carrying a lot on their own and are not comfortable or accustomed to leaning on anyone else. I use approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients process what they’ve been through and reconnect with themselves. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to filter or hold it all together; a space where it is ok not to be ok. This is a place where you can be real and get in touch with your authentic self. You can view my website to learn more: https://www.inneradvisorcounseling.com/

My approach to therapy

I am person centered, meaning my approach is tailored to you specifically. My technique is trauma-informed, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface/underneath symptoms. I use evidence-based therapies to help process past experiences, reduce overwhelm, and build resilience. We’ll move at your pace, focusing on both insight and practical tools you can use in your daily life. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and effective, not just like talking in circles. We are here to change and move forward, not remain stagnant.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you. I'll be curious about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been dealing with, and what you want to get out of therapy. You are not expected to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is always to go at a comfortable pace and begin to identify goals and a direction that feels right for you. You can expect a space that feels safe, straightforward, collaborative, down to earth, and free of judgment.
