I have been in the counseling and mental health field for over 30 years with a wide range of experience. I work with adults, adolescents, and families within the full gamut of counseling issues, ranging from marriage and relational issues to addiction to symptom management. I have a Master of Arts degree in marriage and family counseling along with a minor in biblical theology. I have lived and worked in Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina, as well as England and Ireland.
We will take a practical, solution-focused and values-based approach for whatever issues you are facing in a warm, collaborative way. I really enjoy working with couples and families to help you gain true, healthy intimacy in your most important relationships. While I do have a Christian worldview and values that will be sprinkled into conversation, I welcome all comers.
From the first session, you'll be able to begin to gain handles on your emotional struggles as well relational complexities. We may consider take-away homework to include simple writing assignments, articles to read, as well communication exercises to practice.
