Great to meet you!

Since my first day as a therapist on Sept 1, 2011, I've come to see how important taking care of our mental health is, and how it can impact every area of our lives. I also believe that we all have the power to self-heal, though we sometimes need a hand in finding that innate power. That's where I come in! I see adults ages 18 to geriatric, and my specialties are in depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, bipolar disorder, and victims of narcissists.

My approach to therapy

I tend to be warm, empathic, and open-minded while being direct and challenging. I feel that talking through things is important, but I also feel my job is to help you come up with actionable techniques that will help you between sessions. The methods I often use to help us come up with those steps are CBT, Mindfulness, REBT, and DBT. Even though these are my main approaches, I still want us to come up with techniques that will help YOU in your specific journey.

What you can expect from me

I hope that by the end of each session, you feel a little better than you did before you started. Granted, there may be days sessions are heavy and don't feel very good, but I will always try to leave you with at least a piece of wisdom or encouragement, if not actionable steps to take home.
