Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and the founder of "Of Sound Mind Consultants, LLC." I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University and a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership from Lancaster Theological Seminary. My clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered care, integrating psychological insight with faith-informed principles. My therapeutic work focuses on empowering individuals, couples, and families to strengthen emotional resilience, enhance relational health, and promote overall well-being. I'm committed to ethical excellence and holistic growth. I make it my priority to provide a supportive therapeutic environment where clients can pursue healing, clarity, and purpose.

My approach to therapy

At Of Sound Mind Consultants, LLC, my approach to therapy is person-centered, holistic, and faith-informed. Every individual has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and resilience when given the space to be seen, heard, and understood. Therapy is not just about addressing problems—it’s about cultivating wholeness and restoring harmony within the mind, body, and spirit.

Drawing from evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, I integrate cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and solution-focused approaches within a supportive and empowering framework. When welcomed by the client, faith and spirituality are woven into the therapeutic process as sources of strength, identity, and meaning.

Through compassionate collaboration, I help clients gain clarity, develop healthy coping skills, and embrace personal transformation. My goal is to help each person cultivate a sound mind—grounded in peace, purpose, and resilience.

What you can expect from me

Your first session at Of Sound Mind Consultants, LLC, is designed to help you feel comfortable, informed, and supported from the very beginning. The intake session typically lasts about 50–60 minutes and focuses on understanding your story, your goals for therapy, and what has led you to seek support at this time.

During this session, we will review important intake forms, discuss confidentiality and consent, and explore what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. You will have the opportunity to share your personal history, current challenges, and any specific areas of concern you would like to address. Together, we will begin to identify your strengths and develop an individualized plan for moving forward.

The first session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of my therapeutic style. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to begin your journey toward healing, clarity, and growth.
