Great to meet you!

My name is Jennifer Britten and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, holistic provider, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level 2).

I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults who struggle with self-esteem, abandonment, anxiety, and traumatic life experiences.

I help by listening to you and your story, building an understanding of how you view life and your experiences, and working collaboratively to develop goals that align with the growth you hope to see in your life and within yourself.

My approach to therapy

I use Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and pull insights from Internal Family Systems and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Combined, these approaches help you learn how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors work together and interact, how to listen to yourself and your needs, and how to regulate yourself to experience presence and emotional safety in the here-and-now.

In our first few sessions, you can expect us to spend time talking about what brings you to therapy and exploring or discovering what you value in life.

What you can expect from me

My practice is unique because I like to start exploring coping strategies as soon as possible to help you start building skills and to bring you some relief as we start getting deeper into the therapeutic process of exploring, learning, and growing through life’s challenges. My style is interactive and engaging, so you will never have to worry if I am listening, and I am always sure to consider you as a whole person and how different interventions, approaches, and recommendations can fit into your life.
