Great to meet you!

It takes courage to seek help and support, and I’m so glad you’re here. I am a wife, mom, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is focused on helping clients navigate life’s obstacles, while building the tools necessary to make lasting changes and improve quality of life. My goal is to support and empower my clients by working collaboratively on the path to healing and wellness. I have 11 years of clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan. After receiving specialized training, I focus on caring for adolescent girls and adult women.

I specialize in postpartum depression and anxiety, teen pregnancy, adoption, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, challenges with body image and low self-esteem, navigating the transition to motherhood, and family conflict. I'm also a Board Certified Christian Counselor, and can provide faith-based care and integrate Biblical Counseling for those clients seeking to incorporate these values in therapy.

My passion for working with mothers developed after my own lived experience as a survivor of birth trauma and postpartum depression and anxiety. I understand the importance of support during pregnancy and the postpartum period, and I work to provide that support to others.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-focused, and strengths-based. Each client’s plan and care journey is as unique as they are. I am a holistic therapist, working to address the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs of each client. My approach draws from several different modalities to meet my clients needs.

I’m a person-centered therapist and believe the therapy space is yours to safely explore your emotions, thoughts, and needs. All emotions are welcome. They are not too much for me. I feel that being a therapist is a privilege, and I'm honored to walk the journey alongside my clients through some of the most difficult parts of their lives. I work collaboratively with my clients to provide the individualized support they need.

What you can expect from me

I aim to provide a safe, warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where you are free to explore your needs and be your authentic self. I value building rapport with my clients so the therapeutic journey is built on trust. Together we’ll find what works for you to improve symptoms, have more peace, have greater self-acceptance and self-compassion, and feel empowered to cope with life’s obstacles, big and small.

My clients describe me as understanding, empathetic, and gentle yet direct. I'm approachable and down to earth, and I work to ensure clients feel comfortable in the therapy space. Through the collaborative care journey, clients can expect to experience a reduction in mental health symptoms and an increase in overall wellness and confidence to manage the stressors that occur in life.
