Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I approach counseling as a joint relationship in which you and I collaborate in a supportive, safe environment. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples and specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, parenting, and women's issues.

My approach to therapy

My belief is that all clients have unique insight and ability to improve their own lives, but may need help identifying strengths and developing skills that support healing, healthy decision making, relationships, and steps towards positive growth. I personally operate from a Christian worldview and am willing to incorporate this into our counseling. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR are some of the modalities I specialize in.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will be asking you a lot of questions about you, how you cope, and your symptoms (it’s basically an interview). We may also talk about goals for therapy, expectations, and more. It is just as important that you have time to decide if you are comfortable with me, as it is that I can determine if I'm able to help you achieve your goals.
