Great to meet you!

Welcome to Inner Harmony Psychiatry! We're honored that you've chosen us to be part of your mental health journey.

Our goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care in a supportive and judgment-free environment. We understand that seeking help can be a difficult first step, and we're committed to making the process as comfortable and personalized as possible.

During your first appointment, we'll take time to get to know you, discuss your concerns, review your history, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, or another mental health concern, we're here to help you achieve lasting wellness.

To help your visit go smoothly, please complete all intake paperwork prior to your appointment and have a current list of your medications available. If your appointment is conducted via telehealth, please join from a quiet, private location with a reliable internet connection.

We value open communication and encourage you to ask questions throughout your care. Our team is dedicated to helping you feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.

Thank you for trusting Inner Harmony Psychiatry with your care. We look forward to meeting you and partnering with you on your path toward healing and wellness.

Jennifer Harris, PMHNP-BC Inner Harmony Psychiatry

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their treatment. I take the time to understand your unique experiences, symptoms, goals, and lifestyle so we can create a plan that works for you—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management while also emphasizing the importance of therapy, healthy lifestyle habits, and building practical coping skills. When appropriate, I work closely with your therapist, primary care provider, or other members of your healthcare team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.

I treat a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health concerns. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help you improve your overall quality of life, strengthen resilience, and feel more confident in managing life's challenges.

Whether you are seeking support for the first time or looking for a provider who will truly listen, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your concerns, and actively participating in your treatment. Together, we'll develop a personalized plan that supports your long-term mental wellness and helps you reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but your story. We'll discuss what brought you to treatment, your current concerns, your mental health and medical history, previous treatments, medications, family history, and any goals you have for your care.

I believe the first appointment should be a conversation, not an interrogation. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, share what's been working (or not working), and discuss any concerns you have about medications or treatment. Together, we'll review your symptoms, explore possible diagnoses, and create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs and preferences.

If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss the potential benefits, risks, side effects, and what to expect moving forward. I also recognize that medication is only one part of mental health care, so we'll talk about therapy, lifestyle changes, sleep, stress management, and other strategies that can support your overall well-being.

By the end of your first visit, you can expect to have a better understanding of your symptoms, a clear treatment plan, and the next steps in your care. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your path forward.
