Great to meet you!

Therapy shouldn't be scary or intimidating! I believe it is a place to step back, reflect and restore balance in the midst of life's challenges. This process looks different for everyone and finding a perfect path to your healing is my goal. I have a Master's of Science degree in clinical psychology and mental health counseling, with specific training and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Grief Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. My clients range in ages from children as young as five to older adult clients facing a variety of individual issues, as well as couples and families going through differing difficult experiences. I am certified in treatments for various personality disorders, mood disorders, complex trauma, and attachment disorders. I also have extensive experience with treatment of various anxieties and phobias, addiction and substance use, trauma, and behavioral issues. I believe every person deserves a space where they can be heard. A person shouldn't have to feel like no one cares, no one understands, or there's no help available; everyone is welcome here.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I provide a collaborative, holistic, and down to earth approach that integrates evidence-based practices with a deep honor for how emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational factors intersect in your life. I have been working in the mental health field for almost 10 years at various levels and in a variety of settings. I have a lifetime of relatable experiences allowing myself to bring a greater sense of understanding to many of my clients. As a licensed mental health therapist I promise to provide a calm, peaceful presence in our sessions while valuing your unique needs, experiences, and expectations. My goals are to provide a structured but flexible space for clients to gain practical tools, emotional support, and relational guidance to life's unexpected and difficult times.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about you becoming comfortable with me. My goal is to create a trusting environment where you feel safe to express some of your deepest thoughts. I believe a good therapeutic relationship is based on trust and openness. I will be upfront with you always, help you to set goals and even understand expectations of therapy. Additionally, in my experience, not everyone comes to therapy for a "cure"; needing that person to talk to without judgment or "everyone finding out" is all that is needed. The length of time for your healing will never be prolonged or rushed. My goal is to see you healed and whole. Over the course of our time, I will provide the tools, resources, exercises, goals, homework, etc. as needed to help you become your whole self, feeling confident in who you are.
