Great to meet you!

Hello, welcome to my practice. My name is Jennifer most people call me Jenny. I am a fully licensed clinical mental health counselor who has been providing crisis counseling services in the community for the past 7 years. I received my degree at Lenoir-Rhyne University and have used my skills to work with clients from the ages of 5 to adults. I enjoy meeting people from other cultures and embrace diversity.

My approach to therapy

I believe building a therapeutic relationship with each client is key to developing the person-centered treatment plan that will be able to grow and produce desired outcomes. I incorporate the concepts of cognitive behavioral therapy with creativity and in collaboration with the client to understand and respect their individual needs. I provide a safe space for diverse populations including individuals identifying within the LGBTQ+IA community.

What you can expect from me

During the first meeting we will have the opportunity to discuss and explore your journey to seeking support. Primarily I will listen and ask questions to help guide our time to be as productive and meaningful as possible. Together we will determine your needs, preferences, and goals for your continued services. We will close with a review of our meeting and an opportunity to prepare for the next meeting.
