Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jennifer, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Maryland. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and have experience working with diverse communities across medical and outpatient mental health settings.

I specialize in working with young adults and adults who are navigating stress, life transitions, and periods of personal change. Many of my clients are professionals balancing demanding careers, family responsibilities, and personal expectations while also trying to care for their own well-being. Others come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by ongoing changes in the world, uncertainty about the future, or the emotional toll of trying to keep up with everything life demands.

My work often focuses on concerns such as anxiety, burnout, depression, adjustment to new life stages, relationship challenges, and major transitions like career changes or parenthood. I also support individuals navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the complexity of balancing different parts of their identity. As a bilingual therapist, I provide culturally responsive care and believe that understanding your background, experiences, and perspective is an important part of the healing process.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe exploring your thoughts, emotions, and goals while building tools to feel more grounded, confident, and balanced in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered.

I integrate several evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Together, we work to understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and build skills that help you feel more grounded and confident in your daily life.

I also approach therapy through a culturally responsive lens. Our identities, family systems, and cultural experiences shape how we move through the world, and those pieces deserve space in the therapeutic process.

Ultimately, therapy with me focuses on helping you move from simply coping to creating meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive connection. My goal is to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where you feel safe sharing at your own pace.

During this session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I may ask some questions about your background, current stressors, and supports so I can better understand your experiences.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming in—many people start therapy simply knowing they want things to feel different. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying goals and discuss how we can work together moving forward.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
