Great to meet you!

Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked in social services with parents and grandparents reunifying them with their children that have been exposed to abuse and/or neglect. In 2017, I graduated Webster University with a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been licensed since 2020. I provide individual and couples counseling for 16 years old to older adults that have experienced anxiety, depression, grief, and various traumas.

My approach to therapy

I believe that our experiences in childhood shape who we become as adults. My therapeutic foundation is in trauma and attachment, were we look at how you relate to yourself, and others based on your experiences. I have completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which addresses your thought patterns and behaviors. I also have training in trauma and how it effects the brain and will take a holistic approach to addressing concerns.

What you can expect from me

I believe that every client has the answers to their concerns within them. I take the position of support to draw out the answers. Our initial session will be an assessment where we will have a conversation about what brings you to counseling and gathering family, health, and treatment history. In the session you can expect to receive tools to work through your concerns and assignments will be given to enhance what you learned in session.
