Great to meet you!

Jennifer Schiappa, LCSW is a Clinical Social Worker in Cary, NC and has over 22 years of experience in the healthcare field. She graduated from Simmons Graduate School Of Social Work in 2000. She works with clients age 15 on up. Specialties include depression, anxiety, bipolar, high functioning autism, and trauma survivors. Her office accepts new patients and telehealth appointments.

My approach to therapy

I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach. It is important for me to meet my clients where they are at and to build a trusting relationship. Together we can explore triggers, negative thoughts, fears, worries, and self esteem issues to gain a better understanding of the current struggles. We will work on reframing thoughts, building a healthy inner dialogue, learning healthy coping skills, and improving self care.

What you can expect from me

One of the most important aspects of what I do is hold peoples stories and provide a safe place to explore difficult topics.
