Great to meet you!

Very few people want to do therapy, and I know the courage it takes to take this first step.

I graduated from Wake Forest University with my masters in counseling; a masters in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University. I have had the privilege to work with many different clients over time. I have worked with chronic medical conditions, TBI/Brain injury, PTSD, military families, substance abuse, anxiety/depression, and many other diagnoses.

My approach to therapy

I am specially trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) through Strong Star Institute, but utilize a wide variety of evidence-based treatment options. We'll utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, adjusting as needed to help you feel comfortable and meet your needs. I'll meet you with compassion as well as evidence-based techniques so that you can build skills to help you through life's ups and downs.

What you can expect from me

During our first session together, I we will review informed consent and review my Professional Disclosure Statement (PDS); I will answer any questions you have. Afterwards, we will explore the issues and concerns that brought you to therapy, allowing me to get to know you by learning a piece of your story.

Each session may be different, especially as we begin to work through complex issues.
