Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jennifer, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) who’s passionate about helping children, teens, and adults find healing, direction, and hope. For the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges—whether that’s ADHD, trauma, anxiety, major life changes, or figuring out who they are and where they’re headed.

I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling and Licensed Professional Counseling from Liberty University, where I built a strong foundation in clinical best practices and discovered my love for integrating faith-based perspectives for clients who want to include spirituality in their journey.

I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and spent about 15 years in Virginia before returning home. I’ve always had a love for travel and learning about other cultures—it’s taught me how important it is to see people for who they are and to honor their unique experiences and beliefs. In my work, I strive to create a space where you can feel safe, respected, and truly heard as we work together toward growth and healing.

My approach to therapy

I work with children, teens, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives.

Children (typically ages 8 and up): I help kids learn how to express big emotions, build confidence, and strengthen social and behavioral skills—all in a way that feels safe and encouraging.

Teens: I offer a supportive space for teens to explore who they are, manage stress and emotions, and build resilience while navigating school, friendships, self-esteem, ADHD, or past trauma.

Adults: I walk alongside adults as they work through life transitions, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, and spiritual concerns—helping them find balance, healing, and direction.

Whether you’re a parent looking for support for your child, a teen trying to make sense of your world, or an adult seeking clarity and healing, I’m here to help. My approach is person-centered, meaning our work together is guided by your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I strive to provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where growth feels possible and healing can begin. My style is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and faith-integrated for those who wish to include spirituality in their journey.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions together, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where your voice truly matters. My approach is person-centered, compassionate, and collaborative—always tailored to your unique needs, goals, and pace. I take time to understand your story, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing so we can create a plan that fits you best. You’ll be met with kindness, patience, and genuine care, no matter your background, beliefs, or life experiences.

Our work together often includes practical tools and insights to help you manage emotions, build coping skills, strengthen communication, and increase self-awareness. Whether you’re processing trauma, navigating ADHD, managing anxiety, or exploring faith and identity, you’ll have space to reflect and grow safely, at your own pace.

Above all, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes. Therapy is a journey—and I’m honored to walk alongside you every step of the way.
