Great to meet you!

I am proud to have earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2022, while balancing a full-time job. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside experienced clinicians, continuously learning and growing in my practice. I am now fully licensed in Oregon and excitedly working toward licensure in Washington state.

My passion lies in empowering children aged 6 and above, helping them navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. I have experience administering a variety of assessment tools and enjoy working with children in group settings. I am most familiar with supporting those who face ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family conflicts. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where clients can discover their strengths, gain understanding, and thrive.

Before my counseling journey, I spent nearly a decade as a skills trainer, working closely with social workers to help adults, including seniors, access vital community resources. I bring a compassionate and adaptable approach, grounded in a diverse array of theories and techniques. I believe that growth is a lifelong journey, and I am excited to learn and grow alongside my clients. Together, we can explore new pathways, foster resilience, and move toward a more hopeful future.

I strive to create a space where all people feel seen, respected and valued-honoring every race, nationality, sexual orientation, gender expression, and identity.

My approach to therapy

In our sessions, I like to create a gentle and collaborative roadmap together. I often encourage clients to try subtle but, meaningful exercises between our meetings, such as journaling, tracking thoughts or behaviors, or even expressing themselves through drawing. We’ll begin by celebrating what went well over the past week, honoring your progress and strengths.

Next, we’ll reflect on the homework—talking about what felt helpful and understanding any challenges you might have faced. If there are obstacles or concerns, I’m here to help brainstorm supportive solutions, always respecting your own insight and experience.

After that, we might do a calming activity, explore a new skill, or introduce a potential strategy to practice — all tailored to your needs and goals. We’ll then wrap up by summarizing what we’ve learned, checking in to make sure your most important concerns are addressed, and setting gentle, achievable goals for the next step.

This structured approach is designed to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered, giving you a clear sense of direction while also allowing space for your unique journey. If it’s helpful, I sometimes write down our plan to keep us focused and to help foster a sense of stability and trust. Remember, this process is all about supporting you in feeling stronger, more confident, and hopeful as we move forward together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, my hope is to create a warm and welcoming space where I can learn about your strengths, the supports that lift you up, and the interests that inspire you. I’ll also take a moment to gently explain your rights, how your records are kept safe, and the situations where your information may need to be shared—always with respect for your privacy and comfort.

As part of getting to know you better, I’ll ask some specific questions about the challenges you’re facing and how often you notice certain behaviors or symptoms. This isn’t meant to feel intrusive—instead, it helps us understand your unique experience so we can track your progress over time and celebrate your growth.

Most important of all, I want you to feel seen, supported, and hopeful that this journey is about helping you discover new strength and resilience. I look forward to walking alongside you as we begin this meaningful process together.
