Great to meet you!

I, Jessica M. Bravo, grew up in Costa Rica and moved to North Carolina at age 11. I am a first generation native Spanish-speaker and mother of two beautiful children. I have a Master’s in Social Work and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

After working in social services with the Latinx community for over eight years, I decided to pursue my Master's degree and clinical license. I am passionate about mental health awareness, the impacts of generational trauma, and social / cultural conditioning. My areas of clinical focus are trauma, grief, and loss. I utilize various trauma-informed therapeutic modalities including IFS. I also specializes in relationship dynamics and marital issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is simple: We must face the discomfort and learn to sit with the parts of us that are hurting in order to begin the journey of self-discovery, begin healing, and lead a more authentic life in alignment with our true north. All the answers we are searching for are within. Let me support you as you develop a deeper and more understanding relationship with yourself.

What you can expect from me

The first session will consist of: a comprehensive clinical assessment (to collect relevant background information), identifying your desired goals, and what you are looking for in a therapist (to determine if we are a good match).
