Great to meet you!

I’m Jessica Fleeger, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 19 years of nursing experience. I earned my undergraduate degree from Arkansas Tech University and my master’s from Walden University. My background includes working in women’s substance abuse centers, inpatient psychiatry, and outpatient mental health clinics. I enjoy working with women, first responders and other mental health providers ages 18-55 , helping them explore new ideas and approaches to improve their mental health. Together, we create personalized treatment plans to support healing, growth, and long-term well-being.

My approach to therapy

I believe in meeting each patient where they are—with openness, empathy, and a genuine desire to understand their unique story. My approach is holistic, meaning I consider the whole person: their mental, emotional, physical, and even environmental influences. I take time to listen carefully, build trust, and work collaboratively to create a treatment plan that feels both supportive and realistic. Whether we’re exploring medication options, coping strategies, lifestyle changes, or simply holding space for what’s going on, I strive to make every session a safe and nonjudgmental place. My goal is to help patients feel heard, empowered, and hopeful as they move forward in their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

I take a holistic, compassionate approach, considering each person’s mental, emotional, physical, and environmental needs. My goal is to create a warm, open space where patients feel heard and supported. Together, we work to improve daily functioning, build emotional resilience, and develop practical tools for managing mental health. I believe in collaboration, and every treatment plan is tailored to fit each person’s unique goals and journey toward healing. My approach to psychiatric medication management emphasizes the use of evidence-based treatments that provide the greatest long-term benefit while minimizing the risk of dependence or misuse. As part of this philosophy, I do not routinely prescribe controlled substances such as benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax), stimulant medications, or sedative-hypnotics (e.g., Ambien). When clinically appropriate, I focus on non-controlled medication options and therapeutic interventions that effectively address symptoms while promoting long-term stability and safety. If a controlled medication is indicated, I encourage patients to discuss ongoing management with a provider whose practice includes prescribing these medications.
