Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working with people through anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, grief, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are and be treated with warmth, kindness, respect, and integrity.

My background includes working in a variety of settings, including behavioral health, crisis care, medical social work, and hospice. Those experiences have taught me that there isn’t one “right” way to cope, heal, or move forward. I try to meet each person where they are at. In other words, we work through things without overwhelming you or making you feel wrong for not being at a certain point. The best progress is step by step, I believe.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I try my best to make sure therapy feels like a genuine conversation where you feel comfortable being yourself while also having someone help you look at things from a different perspective.

Depending on what you’re going through, we may work on understanding patterns, processing difficult experiences, building coping skills, setting boundaries, improving relationships, or figuring out what you actually want moving forward. I believe in a humanistic approach where we practice kindness and warmth towards your you and your journey.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what brought you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, what you would like to change, and what you hope to get from our time together. You don’t need to come in knowing exactly what your goals are or how to explain everything perfectly.

I also want you to see if we are a good fit for each other and I take no offense at all if you decide to keep looking elsewhere. But I am upfront in working together to think of me as a coach; I will gladly support you and teach you the skills you need but you've got to do the activities as I cannot do them for you. But I will gladly cheer you on and support you!
