Great to meet you!

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with Headway who graduated with both a master’s degree (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) and a doctorate degree (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from University of South Carolina. I see patients from ages 18-100+ years. Practicing holistic medicine, involving the mind, body and spirit is important for optimization of health.

My approach to therapy

I believe that patients should be key participants in their wellness and prefer to tailor treatment to a patient’s goals. I am a firm believer in daily mindfulness practices, exercise, adequate sleep and good nutrition to help manage stress and mental health.

What you can expect from me

Initially, you can expect a full diagnostic interview with me, including interviews with you and possibly your chosen loved ones. You can expect to provide information to me about your lifestyle, previous psychiatric records and may be asked to complete lab draws as part of the diagnostic process. In follow-up sessions, I will help clients make and track progress toward goals. Medication management and brief psychotherapy may be a part of this process.
