Great to meet you!

I have background in working with young adults, parents and individuals who have experienced challenges in relationships, personal and career changes that have been difficult to overcome, and early trauma that has served as a barrier to building a life that is balanced and authentic. I have experience working with humans who have experienced violence, attachment disruptions, chronic health conditions, depression and anxiety. I earned Masters in Social Work (2004).

My approach to therapy

It's an exciting and scary decision to dive into your own healing. I take a person in environment approach and will walk along side you on a journey of self-discovery and healing. My approach is with an understanding that relationships are a conduit to healing and growth. Trauma, difficult past relationships (with people and systems), and the development of ineffective patterns serve as barriers to building the lives, connections and relationships we desire.

What you can expect from me

I have a solution focused style. I enjoy working with people who want to feel better and am motivated to serve as a partner in your change work. That requires me to be soft and direct, focused and creative. Together we will work through experiences that serve as barriers, let go of shame and all those “not good enough” feelings, and begin to envision and build a life of joy and balance.
