Great to meet you!

My name is Jessica West, and I have been serving in the helping profession since 2011 and practicing as a licensed mental health professional since 2017. As a Christian trauma-informed therapist, I am passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate the effects of trauma, life transitions, emotional struggles, grief, and seasons of uncertainty. I believe healing occurs when individuals experience both compassionate support and a safe space to process their stories.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed counseling with Christian principles, offering care for the mind, body, and spirit. I strive to help clients gain insight, strengthen resilience, discover their God-given worth, and develop practical tools for lasting growth and healing. My desire is for each person to experience hope, restoration, and the truth that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and faith-centered environment where they are invited to share their story at their own pace. We will discuss the concerns that brought them to counseling, current challenges, personal and spiritual history, strengths, and goals for healing and growth. As a trauma-informed Christian therapist, I prioritize creating a safe space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood without judgment.

Together, we will begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship while exploring practical and evidence-based strategies that support emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. For those who desire it, biblical principles and faith can be integrated into the counseling process. The first session also provides an opportunity to identify the most effective approaches and supports to help clients move toward healing, restoration, and lasting hope.
