Great to meet you!
I have a long history that led me to therapy, including a Bachelor's in Biological Science, 15 years as a Stay-at-home Mother, teaching and supporting students in the classroom, and working with a local senior home-care agency. I decided to get my Master's in Social Work seeing an increased need for education and advocacy in underserved populations. I received my Master's in Social Work from Salisbury University during the height of Covid, and began offering telehealth services soon after graduation. I served my internships at the VA working with the Veteran population, as well as in a local High School working with teens and their parents. I provided individual therapy to adults and teens for over 2.5 years before moving into a Community Outreach role with University of Maryland. I am currently working full time in the Community directly impacting those in need by connecting them to resources and providing health and wellness education. However, I still very much enjoy the individual connections I make, and help I can provide in therapy service. I currently provide culturally sensitive, individual therapy to adults over 18. I am working toward certification to specialize in treatment of Adult ADHD, and feel very comfortable helping individuals manage this diagnosis. I serve individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, Maternal issues, and those in recovery from substance use disorders.
