Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker based in the Asheville area, working with teens (14+) and adults navigating anxiety and trauma.

I especially love working with fellow LGBTQ folks, neurodivergent people, "nerds", theater kids (past, present, or simply at heart), and anyone who has ever felt "weird" or left out.

I’ve traveled and lived in a lot of different places, which shapes how I show up with clients from all kinds of backgrounds.

Outside of session, you’ll usually find me dancing, singing, spending time outside, or with my critters (a dog, two cats, and five chickens).

And yes, I DO want to see pictures of your pets!

My approach to therapy

  • I believe that healing starts when you’re free to be fully yourself. You are the expert of your own experience. My job is to ask good questions, offer new angles, and walk alongside you wherever you are in that journey.
  • I lead with transparency and evidence-based, science-backed practices. I strive to create a space where therapy can be both meaningful and fun.
  • Therapy can be a place to practice showing up in new ways, with yourself and with others.
  • We might work on:
    • -Building confidence and identity
    • -Shifting patterns and behaviors that are holding you back
    • -Living in line with your values
    • -Finding balance and self-compassion
    • -Learning communication skills that actually fit you

I draw from a mix of approaches, matched to what fits you rather than one-size-fits-all:

  • -EMDR
  • -IFS-informed
  • -Expressive Arts
  • -Somatic
  • -DBT
  • -Attachment-focused

What you can expect from me

We’ll spend time getting to know a bit about your story and what brought you to therapy now.

I’ll also ask about what inspires you, interests you, and where you find value in your life. (It’s okay if you’re not sure about that yet, figuring it out together is part of the work too.) Those strengths and values will guide a lot of what we do, so I like to start building that picture from the start.

From there, we'll start talking more concretely about how we’ll work together, and what approaches or tools might fit best for you.

This first conversation goes both ways. You can ask me anything you’re curious about, and I hope you'll tell me what’s working and what isn’t as we go. I’ll be paying attention to how you like to communicate and relate, so I can meet you there.
