Great to meet you!

You can enter therapy for a variety of reasons. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients begin to address their presenting issues by creating a feeling of safety, mutual respect, and providing you with unconditional support. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois. I have extensive experience in working with ethnic and cultural diverse communities, LGBTQ+, Military Service Members, Veterans, and adult men and women with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma.

My approach to therapy

I bring an attitude of curiosity, gentleness, and humor to your therapy sessions and work to create a safe space where you can feel seen and heard. I have an eclectic approach and will design therapy around your personality type and what you are most comfortable with to meet your needs. During your therapy sessions, I may integrate different treatment approaches including, but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.

What you can expect from me

During our first therapy session, I work with my clients one-on-one. This allow me to focus on you and build rapport to help you get personally grounded, centered, and balanced so that you can be the best version of yourself. You set the pace, with a little more time than a standard session to help me gain a full understanding of what might be blocking you from fulfillment. I do a thorough assessment and evaluation, then together we decide the best course of action. Through our work together, I will do my best to help guide you, support you, and validate you. I am passionate about my work and committed to helping you find balance in all elements of your life.
