Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor serving people in DC and VA. My areas of expertise are grief, loss, trauma, and life transitions.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Cognitive Studies and Child Development at Vanderbilt University, followed by a Master’s of Education degree in Human Developmental Counseling from Vanderbilt.

My approach to therapy

I believe it is crucial to focus on a person’s strengths and unique experiences when walking with them in their healing process.

My approach to each client depends on their needs, and is based on the principles of Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have completed basic training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

What you can expect from me

I seek to create a comfortable space for each person with whom I work. I focus on building a warm, empathetic therapy relationship where clients can come as they are to work towards their mental health goals.

I strive to provide a safe, inclusive space for people of all experiences, identities, and abilities to gain the mental health support and understanding that they need to thrive.
