Great to meet you!

You’ve been grappling with the aftermath of a toxic or traumatic relationship that left you questioning everything about yourself. The process of breaking free, or even reflecting on the recent escape, feels like an emotional whirlwind. You feel vulnerable and uncertain because the trust you once had in yourself and others has been shattered. Sometimes you even question if you were with a narcissist, or if it was YOU. Because of this, you’re unsure of who you are and what you want. It’s as if the very core of your identity has been upended, and rebuilding that sense of self seems daunting.

My approach to therapy

Rediscover your strengths and find the joys of life again! I specialize in helping people heal from abusive relationships of all kinds. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help decrease anxiety, understand where it came from in the first place, and help you move forward with a better life.

After experiencing a difficult childhood and first marriage, I knew I needed an objective voice. The therapist who guided me through my darkest thoughts and anxious feelings inspired me to change career paths and return to school to begin training as a counselor. Ever since completing my counseling program, I have made it my goal to serve survivors and help people rediscover their strengths, abilities, and passions.

What you can expect from me

This time of transition is incredibly challenging, and overwhelm is a normal reaction to the mix of emotions and practical concerns that come with starting new. We'll walk this journey together! With compassion, support, and encouragement, you'll begin to reprocess the trauma of the relationship; learn and grow from it. EMDR is just one tool we'll use.
