Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jill and I have been a licensed clinical social worker for 24 years, working my entire career in a community mental health system. I have worked with all ages of clients, having been trained in modalities that address anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, and adjustment issues. I received my MSW from the University of New Hampshire, an accredited school of social work. I am currently licensed in New York as well as New Hampshire.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of mental health treatment, and I encourage open communication about how our work together is going for you. I ask questions, provide reflective listening, explore with you your strengths that you can use to find your own solutions to the issues you face. I have many different coping skills and strategies I can suggest, I find the use of worksheets helpful and can give "therapy homework" only if you are up for it!

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel listened to, heard, and validated at the end of our sessions. Perhaps even feel a bit more hopeful, motivated, or able to be successful. That is my hope for you.
