Great to meet you!

I believe that healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered to reclaim their own voice. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and communities. This experience has strengthened my belief that every person's story is unique and deserves an individualized, collaborative approach to care.

My clinical work focuses heavily on trauma, helping clients understand how past experiences continue to shape present-day thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Whether you are navigating the effects of childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or systemic challenges, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where healing and growth can occur.

In addition to direct clinical work, I have experience working within policy and systems-level environments. This broader perspective allows me to understand not only individual challenges but also the ways larger systems—such as healthcare, child welfare, education, legal systems, and community resources—impact people's lives. I recognize that many struggles occur within complex systems, and I help clients navigate these challenges while advocating for themselves and accessing the support they deserve.

Seeking support takes courage. Whether you are working through trauma, navigating difficult relationships, facing life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I am committed to walking alongside you as you build a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy as a partnership. Rather than positioning myself as the expert on your life, I work alongside you to identify your strengths, build insight, and develop meaningful strategies for change. My goal is to help clients feel empowered to make decisions that align with their values, increase self-compassion, and create lasting change.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in collaboration, empowerment, and trauma-informed care. I draw from evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based approaches to help clients move toward healing, resilience, and greater connection with themselves and others.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can bring a mix of emotions, and my goal is to create a welcoming space where you can share your story at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask about your current concerns, important life experiences, relationships, strengths, and what you hope to gain from counseling. There is no expectation to share everything at once.

I view therapy as a collaborative process. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build on your existing strengths. Together, we'll begin developing goals that feel meaningful and achievable.

I work with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and stress related to navigating complex systems. My approach is trauma-informed and emphasizes safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. If trauma is part of your story, our first session is not about revisiting painful memories. Instead, we'll focus on understanding your current needs and creating a foundation for healing.

You can expect me to be compassionate, respectful, curious, and genuinely interested in understanding your perspective. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide support, insight, and evidence-based tools to help you move toward your goals.

By the end of the session, we'll discuss next steps, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether we are a good fit to work together. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and less alone in whatever challenges you're facing.
