Great to meet you!

I look forward to working with adults who want to make positive changes in their lives. My professional background includes working for many years in a large hospital Emergency Department as well as in private psych clinic practice. With my medical and psych training as a Registered Nurse as well as Social Worker I am able to focus on the total person. Some specific treatment areas that I have experience in are trauma, gay/Lesbian/Bisexual, depression and First Responders crisis issues as well as grief/death situations.

My approach to therapy

My sessions with clients are based on an interpersonal approach to therapy. I like to work with people to help relieve the stress and anxiety in their lives. I am open minded but also can challenge clients and encourage them to make changes in their lives when it may be difficult to take those steps. Additionally, I respect the individuality of each person and the need to utilize varied approaches to reach a goal.

What you can expect from me

In sessions with me I would hope that clients will take away that they have been helped to make needed changes in their lives that will move them forward with a better understanding of themselves plus tools to meet challenges they might face ahead.
