Great to meet you!

I enjoy helping people! I have been a school counselor, I have worked in private practice, and I am a counselor educator. In these positions, I have worked with people of all ages. My education began at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I earned a B.A.in English Education, and continued at UNC-Greensboro, where I earned my M. Ed. in counseling and guidance. In addition, I have an M.S in academic psychology from East Carolina University and a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Argosy, Sarasota.

My approach to therapy

As I work with clients, my goal is to meet them where they are and help them move where they want to be. A major focus of my role is supporting my clients as they process their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We all benefit from having someone listen to us as we share and work through our concerns. I hope to be that person for you, providing an objective "listening ear."

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I hope to get to know you a bit and to learn about your reasons for pursuing therapy. I will encourage you to identify your goals for therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where you will feel free to discuss what brings you to therapy and identify your goals for our work together.
