Great to meet you!

If you're struggling with a particular issue or simply looking for a safe place to express yourself, I'm excited to begin the process with you. Although I take my work and my clients seriously, I never take myself too seriously. I'm pretty straightforward and think it's important we create a collaborative and open atmosphere. It's my job to help you get to where you want to go. I might offer guidance on how to articulate a specific therapy goal, but I don't believe it's for me to say what you should want out of therapy. For weekly goals, I think it's important to collaborate on ways to continue therapy between sessions.

My approach to therapy

I use a client-centered approach, meaning you are the expert on you. Together we'll identify your strengths and resources, and find treatments that fit you best. I have significant experience with empirically supported interventions like CBT and ACT. Seeking help is difficult enough, and it's my job to make the process easier. I work with depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, parenting, autistic adults, LGBTQIA, and military populations.

What you can expect from me

At our first session, I'll gather some basic information and probably ask you a lot of questions. We'll talk about what brings you into therapy and what your goals are. At the end we'll discuss whether it seems like a good fit, I'll offer a general treatment approach, and we'll collaborate on next steps.
