Great to meet you!

I have a doctorate degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and 40+ years of assessment/counseling experience I am licensed in NC, TN and FL.

My approach to therapy

One of my primary objectives as a counselor is to help my patients reach a greater understanding of themselves in a safe, confidential and supportive environment. I hold myself and my colleagues to the highest ethical and clinical standards. All of my patients are treated with respect, compassion and mindfulness. In return they greatly value a counselor who can listen without a vested interest, judgement or misconception. I believe that deep and lasting change is possible at any stage of life.

What you can expect from me

Each person is infinitely complex, and requires a personalized approach. To aid in patient recovery, I use a spectrum of innovative, evidence-based approaches. I encourage patients to assume a proactive role in the creation of their unique and individualized treatment plan. This collaboration empowers them to make personal choices regarding their health. The work can be frustrating, challenging, and rewarding all at the same time, but worth it!
