Great to meet you!

JOJO PAKA, PMHNP-BC, is an advanced practice provider dedicated to expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health treatment. He had the unique opportunity to complete the Carolina NP Residency Program, where he received advanced training in behavioral health integration with a focus on rural and underserved communities across North Carolina. During this experience, he worked closely with populations facing significant barriers to care, helping bridge gaps in access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and psychiatric treatment.

This experience further strengthened his commitment to serving individuals affected by mental health. With over 7 years of clinical experience, he has focused throughout his career on providing patient-centered, comprehensive care to underserved populations, supporting individuals on their path toward stability, recovery, and improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and centered on the whole person. I take time to understand each client’s story, strengths, goals, and the life experiences shaping their mental health, then use that understanding to guide personalized medication management and supportive therapy-based interventions. Care is grounded in evidence-based practice, practical strategies, and a warm partnership that helps clients move toward clarity, balance, and sustainable progress.

What you can expect from me

The first session at WholeBridge Mental Health is designed to feel less like an interview and more like the beginning of a meaningful partnership. We take time to explore what has been weighing on you, what has or has not worked in the past, and what “feeling better” would realistically look like in your life. By the end of the visit, clients can expect greater clarity, a thoughtful treatment direction that may include medication support, and a clear sense of the next steps on their path toward balance and healing.
